Handmade Doll’s Clothes
Made for Mia has a beautiful collection of handmade dolls clothes including our popular Indigenous range curated in collaboration of the launch of the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Miniland dolls.
Hi! I’m Kim, a mum to 6 year old Mia- my incredible IVF miracle. I’m a nurse who started making dolls clothes for Mia, hence the name ‘Made for Mia’. I’ve now hung up my nursing shoes and am so grateful to be continuing Made for Mia 6 years later.
I’ve made a variety of products over the years, starting with with matching kids and dolls clothes and now nursing scrub tops! But the collection I’m most proud of is my range of Indigenous doll’s clothes. My daughter Mia is Aboriginal so it has always been important to me to teach her about her families history and culture. I made this range in collaboration with Miniland Australia for the launch of the Australia Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Miniland dolls. I have sourced beautiful fabric with authentic Aboriginal Artwork, which supports Aboriginal Artists and their local communities.
Creating these pieces means that now many homes and childcare centres have these clothes to spark discussions about diversity, inclusion and about he history and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
Thank you so much for your support!
